Derventio Education is a successful education-focused software house located in Derby, UK who have developed SchooliP to deliver better personal outcomes for pupils and staff in many hundreds of schools, multi-academy-trusts and colleges through joined up School Improvement, Professional Development and Self-Evaluation.

The challenge

To facilitate the implementation of SchooliP it became important that staff data stored in the school management information system (MIS) is available for extraction on-demand. There are a growing number of MIS in the education market and interfacing with each individually, ranging from difficult to configure to impossible to negotiate and implement, with many providers.

The solution

What was needed was a simple and cost-effective solution to integrating with the school management information systems. Wonde integrates with the leading MIS providers, providing read and write access to school data through standardised datasets and an easy-to-use API.

Staff data is extracted on-demand from within SchooliP, refreshing the dataset, as required, at key points throughout the academic year.

Derventio have also implemented Wonde single sign-on, which gives staff one login to access SchooliP, powered by the school data provided by Wonde.

What’s next?

Derventio and Wonde will continue their partnership and integration. Derventio will further utilise the connectivity benefits of Wonde, by extracting additional relevant data from the MIS, and providing a more comprehensive joined-up solution to schools.
