LeaveLens

LeaveLens is a real-time student movement logging and analytics platform built for schools to manage out-of-class movements during scheduled lessons. It enables teachers and staff to quickly record when a student exits and returns to class without capturing or requiring a stated reason. LeaveLens is intentionally designed this way: students always have legitimate reasons to leave, and the platform focuses on the one measure that matters for learning impact and supervision - time out of class. The workflow is fast and low-friction, supporting consistent practice without interrupting teaching.

LeaveLens provides immediate duty-of-care visibility by showing who is currently out of class, where they are expected to be, how long they have been out, and when they returned. This improves accountability, helps reduce unnecessary time away from learning, and supports coordinated supervision across classrooms and year levels.

LeaveLens converts daily logs into actionable reporting and insights. Schools can identify patterns such as frequent or extended absences, quantify cumulative lost learning time, and use objective data to inform wellbeing support, classroom routines, parent communication, and leadership decision-making. Reports can be filtered by student, class, year level, time period, and location to support targeted interventions and data-led conversations - without introducing judgement or assumptions about “why” a student left.

LeaveLens is delivered as a mobile-scaled web application suitable for phones and tablets, with optional desktop app support for rapid, high-throughput logging environments.
